Free Safety Check
As part of our summer promotions, we are offering all Mercedes Van customers including those that have purchased a used van, a free safety check at any of our branches. Brakes are one of the most vital parts of your van and you can ensure that you will be able to stop in time by having your brakes checked out. That way you can help to ensure that you, your staff or others are not injured in an accident.
Did you know that?
- If you are caught driving a vehicle with unsafe brakes, you can be fined up to £2,500 and disqualified from driving.
- It's not an acceptable defence to say that you thought that you kept your brakes safe by having regular servicing.
- The brake fluid in your van absorbs moisture over time, which reduces the efficiency of your brakes and can eventually lead to brake failure.
- Tyres with a tread depth of 3mm provide a quarter more performance and require 25 feet less to stop on a wet road than tyres with the legal minimum of 1.6mm.
