Mercedes Vito & Mercedes Sprinter big savings for Scrappage customers

Monday, October 19th, 2009

It wasn’t until I attended a recent van marketing meeting that it dawned on me how those who qualify for the Governments’ Scrappage scheme can also benefit from the other fantastic offers that we at S&B Commercials are promoting.

Currently Mercedes-Benz are offering a ’swappage’ scheme, which I’ve written about before. This basically offers potential Sprinter and Vito owners low rate finance. Those choosing to take that finance also benefit from a substantial deposit contribution from Mercedes-Benz on the finance deal. Potential Sprinter buyers also benefit from Free Servicing.

So, by way of illustration, if you had a scrappage qualifying vehicle to trade in against a new Sprinter, you can benefit from:

  • £1000 Government Scrappage allowance
  • £2000 Swappage deposit contribution
  • Low rate finance (with a £3000 deposit paid from the components above – helping to keep payments low)
  • Free Servicing – for peace of mind

When you look at the substantial savings that way, buying a new Mercedes Sprinter or Mercedes Vito is even more attractive.

Mercedes Vito 109 Sport Van for £12,995*

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Vito 109 SportWe have a new offer for those of you that are tempted by the Vito Sport vans, but are looking for a more frugal option compared to the Vitos that boast a v6 engine.

The Vito 109 compact Sport van definitely has the looks with 16″  alloys, chrome finishing and ‘Sport’ badges and is available in Arctic White, Magma Red, or Atlantis Blue. Where it differs is with its engine. The van has a frugal 95bhp/70KW engine that develops an impressive 250Nm of torque – more than enough to justify its sporty looks.

Of course being a Mercedes-Benz van it comes with a lot of important safety features included in the price including ESP, ABS, ASR, BAS and EBV – if you’re not sure what all that means, request a brochure and all will be explained! Then compare it to its competitors and you’ll see that it leads the way.

With class leading residuals and the best overall running costs, Mercedes-Benz vans are always the right business decision. However this one really steals the show – for only £12,995 + Delivery (£700) + Optional twin rear doors (£160) + RFL + VAT you get a lot of van for your money, with the extras and looks to make you and your business stand out from the crowd. Put that together with the superior engineering and innovative features that you expect from Mercedes vans and you’re on to a real winner.

Mercedes Vito and Sprinter Vans cruise control

Friday, July 24th, 2009

One of the great advantages of having cruise control fitted to your Mercedes Van is that you can concentrate on the road ahead of you without having to constantly keep an eye on the speedometer. There are cameras everywhere these days all waiting to punish a momentary lapse of concentration, making the honest driver have to constantly check how fast he’s going.

When I drive with cruise control on, I often find that I end up at my destination much more relaxed. I often pass motorists as they tend to slow down a bit when they start to climb a hill until they realise and creep slowly back up to the speed limit. It’s not really until you have driven with this feature that you realise how much others speed alters while they’re driving.

cruisecontrolThe Mercedes Van Cruise Control system has an additional feature (other than of course being able to maintain your speed). It is also able to limit your speed. This is ideal when you enter an area controlled by average speed cameras and the compact stop-start nature of congested traffic makes it unsuitable to use cruise control. You can easily set a limit whilst driving and the system will not allow you to exceed it unless you use one of its override “triggers”.

If you didn’t specify cruise control on your Mercedes van when you ordered it, then all is not lost. S&B Commercials have a very popular offer that we sent out in our latest Email Newsletter. We are now in a position where we can retro-fit the Mercedes-Benz genuine cruise control system to your van using the proper Mercedes-Benz wiring looms, control stalks etc at a special price.

This limited offer is available at £199.99 for Mercedes Vito Vans and £249.99 for Mercedes Sprinter Vans (the extra cost is because the accelerator pedal needs to be replaced). These special prices include genuine parts and labour.

Repair and Maintenance and Service contracts – control your budget

Friday, July 24th, 2009

In these troubled economic times, the last thing that a small business needs is a huge unexpected repair or maintenance bill for their Mercedes van. Thankfully the generous warranty supplied with Mercedes vans takes care of most of the nightmare scenarios, but not all of them.

One thing that small businesses can do to help keep costs under control and improve cash flow is to take a leaf out of the book of big fleet operators of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. What these operators do is to sign up to a service or “Repair and Maintenance” agreement.

Depending on the type of vehicle you have, your annual mileage and what you use your vehicle for, a contract can be tailor made for you. That way you can pay Mercedes-Benz a fixed monthly direct debit and not have to worry about one off servicing and repair costs for your van.

Owners of Mercedes Vito and Sprinter vans have two extra options called service package and service package plus. These options allow Mercedes van owners to pay a one off up front cost at a special price to cover all routine servicing and maintenance for 5 years or 120k miles, with a further fee allowing for brakes and clutches as well.

If you are interested in getting a service package for any Mercedes van or truck, we have a specialist on hand to take your call. You can contact Lorna by phone on 01279 712233 or drop her an email at lornagemmil@sbcommercials.co.uk
