The long awaited UK launch of the new Mercedes-Benz Actros has been announced for January 2012!
The development of the new Actros began over 10 years ago. In that time the new Actros has undergone extensive testing, covering all road types and weather conditions! This includes 2600 hours of wind tunnel testing and over 20 million km on public roads.
So what does the new Actros have to offer? Designed to suit you, the Actros comes in a choice of 2 cab widths, and 4 roof heights, with the aim of giving the driver maximum space and the best aerodynamic performance. With driver comfort in mind, the seat bases are 40mm wider, with the added option of driver and passenger massage seats!
The new Actros is the first truck to be developed to meet Euro 6 emissions standards. Although these are known to worsen fuel economy, the new Actros will be nearly 3% better on fuel and use around 4o% less AdBlue than the Euro 5 model.

In these troubled economic times, the last thing that a small business needs is a huge unexpected repair or maintenance bill for their Mercedes van. Thankfully the generous warranty supplied with Mercedes vans takes care of most of the nightmare scenarios, but not all of them.
One thing that small businesses can do to help keep costs under control and improve cash flow is to take a leaf out of the book of big fleet operators of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. What these operators do is to sign up to a service or “Repair and Maintenance” agreement.
Depending on the type of vehicle you have, your annual mileage and what you use your vehicle for, a contract can be tailor made for you. That way you can pay Mercedes-Benz a fixed monthly direct debit and not have to worry about one off servicing and repair costs for your van.
Owners of Mercedes Vito and Sprinter vans have two extra options called service package and service package plus. These options allow Mercedes van owners to pay a one off up front cost at a special price to cover all routine servicing and maintenance for 5 years or 120k miles, with a further fee allowing for brakes and clutches as well.
